Tranquility awaits you at this vintage waterfront Florida lake house. Welcome to the Nature Coast of Florida! Set on a private cove off of a canal that leads to the Tsala Apopka chain of lakes. Bring your fishing poles, kayaks (we provide 2), canoes, bass, pontoon, mud, or airboat. Flying Eagle Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is behind us (only accessible by airboat) and has 10,000 acres, with five miles of Withlacoochee River in southeastern Citrus County, 13 miles of trails for bicycling, and 16 miles of trails for hiking, and some of the best airboat trails anywhere. There is a community boat ramp at the end of our street (literally one house away), and we have a private floating dock so you don't have to pull your boat out nightly, and plenty of parking for two (2) cars and boat trailers.

Relax to the swaying of the Spanish moss draped trees. Listen to the soft sounds of the Corinthian chimes, either on the comfortable screened porch, floating dock, or around the fire pit on cooler evenings. Our yard is fenced and we welcome dogs under 20 pounds (sorry, no cats), there is a $25.00 pet fee . Please be sure to bring your bug spray or Therma Cell, especially in summer.

This is the perfect Central Floridia location with so many things to see and do. Inverness is 5 miles away, Crystal River and the manatees 30 minutes away, various springs, Ocala and the World Equestrian Center 40 minutes away. Orlando and Tampa just a little over an hour away.

Regardless if you are an avid sportsman, fisherman, or just need a place to get away and read a good book, this is it!

Our cottage offers one bedroom with a Queen size bed. The other bedroom has a King size bed that can be converted to a pair of XL twins. Please let us know in advance if we need to convert to twins. Both bedrooms have Fire TV's. The house is on one level, but the king bedroom has one step down.

The cottage does not have a proper living room, and our screened porch serves as a living room. The porch has comfortable vintage rattan furniture, ceiling fans and lighting. Our small but well equipped kitchen has a gas stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher, and various small appliances (coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster, espresso maker, hand held mixer, crock pot, etc.). We also have a Seagull water purifier with separate tap at the sink. There is a charcoal grill just off the porch (please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid). The dining room has a vintage wrought iron table that seats 6 plus, with matching small side table and rolling bar cart. The bathroom has a tub with shower.

There is a clothing steamer, iron and ironing board in the king bedroom closet, and washer dryer in the utility room. Both bedrooms have two luggage racks in each closet.

Guests have full access to cottage, yard, community boat ramp (please let us know if you are bringing a boat so that we can provide you with the combination for the lock). We are avid travelers and have a small cottage and workshop on the property, so occasionally we are here (the cottage is private and enclosed behind a privacy fence). We FULLY respect the privacy of ours guests and will not interact unless our guests engage or if you have questions or need assistance.
