Summary: Staying in this beautiful place allowed us to explore Lee, Wolfe and Powell counties all within a short 2 night stay. Despite torrential rain storms and wind that took down a few trees along the roadways, this spot kept us warm, dry and perfectly content. The kitchen is well stocked, plenty of dishware, pots and pans as well as utensils and such to complete our meals. Extremely comfortable beds and bedding! There is a telescope for viewing the landscape and sky at night. The property is very well kept, no issues walking the trails. There is a hammock just down from the house, a pond with beautiful creatures just down the hill from the house. My daughter photographed a large spotted salamander and a small racer snake. Weather prevented us from venturing too far on the property, but we were able to sit on the wrap around porch and take in the views all hours of the trip. Take your camera! While off the beaten path ventures are a new way to learn an area, we took an wrong turn onto Shoemaker and went left which eventually was a dead-end/private property spot. When turning onto Shoemaker, remember to stay to the right, the Cure is not far down this road.
