This is a private casita on a large property and it's 100 percent green and chemical-free. We welcome you to come to​ rejuvenate and heal.
We are 2 miles from the plaza. In winter you will need a 4-wheel drive to get up the road.
We are on a sulfur spring that's wonderful water to bathe in!
Casita de la Luz is a little house with a full kitchen and bath with claw foot tub and handheld shower (not a stand-up shower - please look at the picture of the tub).
If you are over 6 ft tall it might tight. Please chat with us about this before you book.
Come melt into our queen size pillow top mattress and organic bedding.
Our retreat is located on 2 acres in the very safe and desirable neighborhood of Canyon Height's overlooking the town of Taos and Taos Mountain. Our casita is equipped with a wood stove, electric heat, wi-fi, and large private wooden deck equip with a small kiva fireplace and table and chairs for two.
Like most authentic old homes, we do not have air conditioning in the casita. Taos does have the occasional hot day in July/August and we offer fans.
This space is perfect for writing, meditation, and retreat from the world.
We provide you will all essentials, spices, organic coffee, and tea and reverse osmosis filtered water for your first few days with us.
You can have peace of mind that we take your health seriously. We are a chemical-free property we do not use pesticides, toxic detergents and cleaning chemicals, bleach or dryer sheets!
Casita de la Luz is a zero VOC space. Come give your liver a break!
Due to the privacy of our location and limited space, we can accommodate no more than 2 people in the casita.
Casita means "little house" and is synonymous with "guest house". The main property is about 100 feet away. Pinon trees divide the two homes. Your casita is very private.
Check-in is 5 pm. Check out is 11 am and this is strict.
The cleaning fee is not a "clean up after you" fee. Our cleaning fee is for the Covid-19 process to sterilize the bathroom, kitchen, towels, and sheets. Please leave the casita in the same great shape you found it.
THE RETREAT IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
You are not used to navigating dirt roads.
You want chlorinated or chemically softened city water.
You want chemical cleaning products.
You want a TV
You need airconditioning
You want to leave your pets here unattended.
You're into overdoing it with drugs and alcohol!
PETS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES ON THE PROPERTY AND CANNOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED!
We can only accommodate one small or medium size pet. We cannot accept fighting, aggressive or protection breeds such as German Shepards, Pit Bulls, or American Bulldogs.
To avoid additional fees please:
1. Clean oven and range to the same condition you found it
2. Clean toaster oven to the same condition you found it
3. Please wash, dry and put away all dishes, glasses, pots and pans
4. Please vacuum
5. Please do not leave more than 2 large kitchen bags of garbage
