Stay Local is a cozy and newly remodeled 1920’s house with vintage touches mixed with new decor. This 100 yr old home is small but so very charming. Every part of this home is designed to maximize use and function. We think you will sleep deeply in these comfortable beds. Try your luck and skill at the hand coffee grinder + pour over coffee maker. Too much work? Palate coffee bar is on the next block. This home is dog friendly with fully fenced yard. Centrally located, walk across the street to Market of Choice grocery store, restaurants, pubs, wine bar. Listen to live music nearby too! It's an easy walk to your show at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater. For more options take an easy walk to downtown, Old Mill, or head for the river wave, just a few minutes away.
DOWNTOWN LOCATION
Stay Local is a downtown home-away-from-home. With the Old Mill District in one direction, and Downtown Bend in the other, you are in the PRIME Bend location! And of course Mt Bachelor is just 20 minutes up the road. Come stay in Bend and live like a local!
HEATING & COOLING
Stay Local features a mini split unit (A/C and heat) in the living/dining room. There are additional radiant heaters in the bedrooms to keep you cozy during the chilly months of the year. Look for humidifiers in each bedroom too. Perfect if you aren't used to the high desert dryness.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Stay Local sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. Sleeping arrangements include 1 king bedroom, 1 queen bedroom and a stacked trundle bed (twin) in the 3rd bedroom. The twin trundle bedroom also holds the washer/dryer and has a barn door entry. Barn doors are very cute but don't seal like a regular door so some light and noise will pass thru the door more easily than usual. Please request a Pack & Play crib, if you need one, when you reserve and remember to please bring your own baby sheets). All bedrooms have extra blankets to make sure you stay cozy.
KITCHEN AND DINING
Enjoy a spacious and fully equipped kitchen with bar seating and dining area. The open spaces ooze cottage charm and make gathering a breeze! Basic oils and spices are provided to help get your meal started. The outdoor patio is another fun option for coffee, meals or just relaxing. A high chair is also provided for a kiddo.
BATHROOM
The single bathroom has a small stand up shower with glass doors. While the home has been fully updated, there still is some 1920s plumbing down there, so please be kind to it. Flush only toilet paper.
TV AND FREE WIFI
Free 300 MBPS TDS wifi. The smart TV features a Fire TV so you can stream your own subscriptions. No cable package. This home has some games and kids books to keep you entertained too.
OUTDOOR SPACES & PET FRIENDLY
Outside you'll find a vineyard and garden with gazebo seating. Feel free to fire up the gas grill for a BBQ and enjoy the sunny yard on those perfect Bend afternoons. No smoking of anything please. The property is fully fenced in to keep your fur-babies safe.
PARKING
The home is very set back from the street and faces Colorado Avenue. You'll have your own private driveway parking spots that fits 2 vehicles easily. There is no street parking on Colorado Avenue.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
This home is nestled into a sweet, downtown neighborhood and is not appropriate for loud and late parties. The neighbor’s windows facing the front yard are bedroom windows and your neighbors are local families. Please keep noise levels down in the evenings. City of Bend quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am and are enforced as are Bend's Good Neighbor Guidelines. Between 10pm-8am, especially when outside enjoying the decks, please keep noise levels very low and be considerate to our neighbors.
