This is a quaint cottage over-looking historic downtown Tellico Plains, the "Gateway" to the Cherokee National Forest. Our cottage is a ninety-year old structure that was renovated several years ago, but it still has has uneven floors and door frames, as a part of its charm. It has bath, kitchen, HVAC, siding, flooring, roof, and electrical improvements with that renovation and later. Guests like it. It is not for anyone looking for a room at the Ritz Carlton.
This cottage is motorcycle- friendly; near world-class trout fishing on the Tellico and Hiwassee rivers; kayaking, rafting, and tubing on the Tellico, Hiwassee, and Ocoee rivers; recreational boating and fishing on the Tellico Lake; scenic drives along the Cherohala Skyway, the "Dragon Tail", and many other mountain roads in the area; gold panning in Coker Creek; the Cherokee Casino in Murphy, NC; the birthplace of Sequoya; Ft. Loudon historic sites; beautiful Bald River Falls; and many other attractions and activities afforded by the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests. See the spring and fall spectacular shows of nature these southern Appalachian Mountains offer.
The cottage is a short walk from the famous Tellico Grains Bakery.
The cottage has satellite tv, washer & dryer, full kitchen, central air, and charcoal grill. There is a great view from the porch. The cottage has a master bedroom and two smaller bedrooms. It has comfortable-sized kitchen, dining area,, and living room. The bathroom has a tub & shower.

Summary: The cottage was clean but in need of updating. The linens are older and some were stained and had holes in them. But, the kitchen was well appointed, but in need of silverware. It is in a quiet spot with a decent view.
