3 Bedroom Cottage in Chesapeake Beach
Come visit the Chesapeake Bay on the western shore in Southern Maryland. We are conveniently located 1 hour from Washington DC and all it has to offer, 1hr 15min from Baltimore and 45 minutes from Annapolis. (https://www.visitcalvert.com/3191/Welcome-to-Calvert-County-Maryland)
We are excited to share the peace, comfort, and views with you! Our cottage is a serene get-away where you can see the bay and the ships going by, hear the eagles, and watch the sun rise.
Our fully equipped cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and 2 half baths, 2 porches (one screened-in), a family room with smart tv, a dining room with table that seats 6, a den with workspace, washer/dryer, 3 parking spaces and more!
The top level has the family room with amazing views, plus 3 bedrooms. The primary suite has a king bed and an attached full bathroom with shower over a tub. This is the only full bath on the top floor. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and another small half bath. The top-level porch is accessed from the family room and perfect for watching the sun rise.
The main level also has beautiful views along with the kitchen, dining room, breakfast bar, half-bath, fireplace with puzzle table and another seating area. The screened-in porch is accessed through a slider on the main level.
The lower level has the den with a desk and a full bathroom, and a laundry area. There is a patio off the den that accesses the backyard.
The backyard is fenced in and has a play structure. Use of the play structure is at your own risk. There is also a cliff side deck outside the fencing that we can no longer allow access to. The cliffs are eroding, and we can’t safely recommend usage.
PLEASE NOTE: Access within the house between floors is a spiral staircase and that is the only indoor staircase. You can access all floors from the outside. The exterior access for the top floor is a standard outdoor staircase.
The quaint twin towns of Chesapeake Beach and North Beach are a short 3-mile drive north. Chesapeake Beach has a small market, birding/rail trail, Rod-n-Reel Resort, a harbor and more. North Beach has a nice pier and boardwalk, a sweet coffee shop (the bakist), a few yummy restaurants and some local shops. Just a bit further north you will find Herrington Harbour South.
As mentioned before, Washington DC is an easy 1 hour drive where this is so much to explore in our nation's capital. If you want classic old east-coast downtowns, we recommend either heading 45 minutes north to visit Annapolis, MD or going 50 minutes east to Alexandria, VA. Both have nice old-town areas where you can go antiquing, visit an art gallery, or dine on great food.
Whether you want to just sit on a deck and stare at the water or take a few days to explore the region, our cottage has you covered.
