1930s cottage located on Main Street in downtown Grand Junction. Walk to Grand Junction's best restaurants and cafes, boutique shops, convention center and theater.
It is less than a 10 minute drive to the Lunch Loops mountain biking trail system and the east entrance of the Colorado National Monument. Relax and enjoy this comfortable home after a day spent hiking our beautiful canyon country, mountain biking in Fruita, or wine tasting in Palisade.
The space
This two-bedroom, one bath cottage located on tree-lined Main Street in downtown Grand Junction was built in 1934. A warm and inviting home - it is furnished in a contemporary farmhouse manner, incorporating a mix of modern, timeless and antique pieces.
The home has recently been painted, the original oak hardwood floors refinished, new kitchen and bath flooring and tile in the shower.
Guest access
Guests are welcome to access all of the property with the exception of the garage and a small basement area. The space is approximately 1,400 square feet including a living area, dining area, two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and back living area.
Other things to note
This property has a newly installed (July 2022), temperature controlled AeroCool evaporative cooler - not an air conditioning unit. Evaporative cooling works well in dry climates such as the high desert region including Grand Junction. In order for evaporative cooling to function, a couple of windows must be slightly open to facilitate air flow.
The layout of the bedrooms and bath is "Jack and Jill." The bathroom is situated in between the bedrooms, with doors between the bathroom and both bedrooms.
The front and back yard have no thirsty lawn/grass. Instead there are recently planted native, drought tolerant and pollinator plantings suitable for this climate
