Our cozy cottage is nestled in rolling pastures, surrounded by the meandering waters of White Oak Creek of Lake Cumberland, Ky. Come relax amid the 16 pastoral acres with a forest of majestic oak trees. Enjoy the sounds of nature, waterfalls, and trickling streams, while relaxing on the front porch, lounging on the barn patio, or sipping your favorite beverage by the fire pit. Our newly renovated cottage is complete with all the comforts of home with 2 serene bedrooms, a sofa bed, &1 bath.
The space
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. In the living room is a sleeper sofa that makes a queen bed. There is 1 bathroom with a walk in shower. There is a full, well appointed galley kitchen, open to the living/dining area. A washer and dryer are located in the back of the home.
The property is on a farm and is flanked by woods on 2 sides. It is a country setting, away from the city but close to the lake. Being out in nature comes with the many creatures the woods and pastures attract. You may see deer, raccoons, wild turkey, groundhogs, rodents, bats,skunks, birds, bees, spiders, ants, bugs that fly or crawl. Please be mindful of closing doors and windows to help keep these out of the home. There are garbage containers positioned away from the house to avoid attracting unwanted animal visits.
We do have satellite Wi-Fi. It works great sometimes and not so great other times. We’re looking forward to better options coming available for that hopefully within the next year.

Our guests have access to the entire house, the grounds, the barn side patio, and the “woodshed” where the fire wood is stored. The property joins the US Corps of Engineers Land, which is public access land for hiking and recreational use.
