Summary: I wasn't expecting it to live up to the reviews I read...but it definitely did. Probably my favorite Midwest lake house ever (I've been to many). Loved the 'no motor' lake, it makes for a much more peaceful lake house experience than one filled with jet skis and powerboats. The rustic-yet-upscale cabin/farmhouse aesthetic is impeccably well done throughout - I pay a lot of attention to interior and exterior property design. The owner clearly does as well.If you're looking for kid-friendly swimming in a private, quiet lake with kid-friendly fishing near the Dells and Devil's Lake, I'm not sure you can beat this beautiful property. We caught much bigger-than-expected crappie and bluegill practically every other cast. Plenty of small chunky bass, too. There are likely bigger fish in the lake - it's quite deep - but we weren't targeting them. The pedalboats are really cool, by the way.Wi-Fi? Fast. Kitchen supplies? Fully stocked (I cook every night, it has everything you need, and everything is in nearly new or new condition). I could go on and on here.Thanks for renting such a beautiful property. We were blessed to stay for the short time we did.
