THE CHALET…
Guests enter on the lower level, directly into the mud/gear room. Take the steps up to the beautiful main floor. The vaulted ceilings, knotty pine tongue and grove walls, an open floor plan and an entire wall of windows welcoming in ample natural light while you overlook the forest are sure to give you all the Northwoods feels you hoped for. Just off the kitchen you'll find two bedrooms and a full bathroom. Make your way up the third floor to enjoy the loft-style master bedroom with dual skylights and a private balcony - the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or the Northern Lights when the timing is right. The loft does afford guests privacy from a partial wall and overlooks the living room with beautiful views through the architectural windows. A large deck with access from the living room overlooks the property and provides the perfect spot for the outdoor dining area. The home is tastefully adorned with rustic decor and thoughtful touches from children's items to coffee essentials. Enjoy dinner from the grill on the patio dining set or a bonfire in the backyard (some firewood supplied).
If you're feeling adventurous, take the winding path around the cabin that leads to the "back" of the property. Guests may hike the trails to use the hunting blind (during season), visit the duck hunting lake/marsh, or take a stroll down the old abandoned railroad tracks for breathtaking views of the marshland - the perfect spot for sunset photos.
The driveway is U-shaped and double-wide to accommodate multiple vehicles, machines, and trailers. No need for tricky maneuvering here - pull right through!
Family-friendly beaches, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, mountain bike/hiking/snowshoe trails, dining, hidden fishing spots, a convenience store and more are short drives away. We are happy to share our favorite off-the-beaten-path places with you - just ask :)

If you are a deer or duck hunter, we welcome you to enjoy hunting on the land during season! Many big bucks and ducks have been taken and mounted from this property.
