Forest lake is a 51 acre lake perfect for kayaking, fishing (summer and winter), swimming and relaxing. No gas engines are allowed on the lake. The surrounding Kettle Moraine offers biking, hiking, snowmobile trails and cross-country ski trails. Wisconsin's famous Ice Age Trail is steps away from the cabin.

Summary: This was a perfect getaway for our family. The lake house was spacious, clean and comfortable, directly at the edge of Forest Lake. Our kids loved being on the water and we only left for the occasional grocery shopping as we all just wanted to hang out at the house and on the lake. The peddle boat was a great hit with the kids while the adults enjoyed kayaking. The sand bar in the middle of the lake was great for shallow water play and we were so happy Sarah left fishing gear for us (and even brought worms as bait) since we are not a fishing family but ended up loving it when we tried. Also the bird and humming bird feeder were a great way to spot wildlife from the kitchen window. There is plenty of family entertainment at the house and I felt like going back in time watching DVDs with the whole family after having a BBQ on the deck. It was a perfect week. Sarah is an very kind and responsive host, when there was an issue with the water heater she immediately came over to mitigate the situation. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a nice relaxing family time to stay at this place for a few nights. Even our dog had the best time lounging around the pier and getting long walks on the ice age trail. Thanks for all your great care Sarah!
