Welcome to Strawberry River Ranch Cabin,

This charming rustic cabin, on our 700 acre cattle/goat ranch here in the heart of the Ozark's, sits overlooking beautiful fields with the Strawberry River in just walking distance from the front door. Along with the river running through the property, we are located within an hour of many lakes and rivers which makes this cabin in the Ozark's what you're looking for.

Gated entrance: There is a gate across driveway to keep guest and livestock apart. There is a push button to enter and drive up to gate to leave, also gate is on. a timer and will close on its own.

Living room: Reclining couch and chairs, smart Roku TV, gas Fireplace.

Enclosed front porch (restricted to lower level at this time)

We are a fully operational Cattle/Goat Ranch, which means you will see and hear cattle, goats, and dogs. We check our livestock and feed daily, so you will see us moving about the ranch throughout the day working and tending to livestock. Occasionally throughout the year we will be working livestock by the cabin in our working facilities. We will inform any guests that is staying and try to work out the schedule at those times. We wean young livestock periodically throughout the year at different times depending on age. During this time the animals make noise and call for each other. This is a stressful time and we try to make it as easy as possible by allowing the mother and calf/kid to see and be on the fence with each other to allow an easier transition. In doing so, there will be loud noises. There will be equipment operated on or around ranch daily. Last but not least, this is a very rural setting which means there will be bugs, snakes, wild critters, and animal droppings. So please plan accordingly.

You will have full access to cabin, please refrain from going in working pens and out buildings. You will be allowed access to the river which is just a short walk through the lower gate (please keep gate closed behind you) but be aware the livestock share the same fields and river.

We are available 24/7 for anything that you might need. We also strive to inform and educate on the lifestyle we love and live, so if you would enjoy a tour of the land and livestock please let use know.

We occasionally have livestock in working facilities, please refrain from interacting with said animals for yours and their own safety. While we strive to produce docile animals, they are not pets.😀

Summary: This place is off the beaten path. About the time I decided I must have taken a wrong turn, the cabin came into view. I was met by the live stock guardian dog, very friendly, and the sights and smells of a fully operational livestock farm which I find very pleasant. At night you can hear the nocturnal birds, whippoorwills, owls. In the morning the Bobwhite quail and Mourning Dove sang their song. Cabin was very clean and very well stocked, the host graciously dropped by a dozen farm fresh eggs. They answered questions quickly and courteously. I don’t know how the experience could have been any better. I look forward to staying here again.
