For many years we rented homes on Mission Beach. Fifteen years ago we were able to buy our own beach house! It's on the ocean side of Mission Beach, six blocks north of Belmont Park. It's only 150 feet from the sands of Mission Beach. You can walk there in 30 seconds!!
Our home is located on a pedestrian only walking court. There is no traffic in front or beside the house. All parking, THREE spaces, is in the rear of the home. These are important differences when considering where to spend your beach days.
The house is sunny and bright. It is all on one level. There are no interior steps. The main living area is open and consists of the kitchen, dining area, breakfast bar, and a roomy family gathering space.
The kitchen is well equipped for those who enjoy cooking. You will appreciate granite counters, a gas range, microwave, and a Bosch dishwasher. There are plenty of serving dishes and a large collection of glassware.
There is seating for six at the dining table and extra seating at the breakfast bar.
The family room has a large comfortable sectional and a Smart TV with premium cable and on demand viewing.
The master bedroom has a Cal King bed with premium mattress and bedding. There is also a large Smart TV.
The second bedroom has a new Queen bed and another Smart TV.
The third bedroom has bunkbeds with a trundle. Kids love this room! Parents do too because it comes with black-out curtains that help keep little ones sleeping a bit longer. A high chair, booster seat, 2 pac n plays, umbrella stroller, baby seat, baby gate, and bed safety rail are stored in the closet in this bedroom. There are also toys and books here.
There are two bathrooms accessible from the hallway. One has a walk-in shower. The washer and dryer are also in this bathroom. The second bathroom has a tub/shower combination and lots of storage. We have an on demand water heater so you'll never run out of hot water!
Your private outdoor space is probably where you'll spend most of your time. You will feel ocean breezes and hear the waves. It's very inviting! There is a large dining table with a lighted umbrella on one side of the patio. On the other side of the patio there is a conversation area in the shade of a big tree. The gas BBQ is here also. You can enjoy the ocean breezes, sip a beverage, BBQ, and watch the little ones play. The house is fenced on all sides.
On the East side of the house you will find a shower with hot/cold water, umbrellas, boogie boards, and lots sand toys.
Beach chairs are stored in a large patio storage box for easy access.
Parking: The house comes with THREE parking spaces. Two can accommodate large vehicles, ie. Suburban, Pick-up, and one can fit a mid-sized vehicle.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK: San Diego's new short term rental rules will be strictly enforced. Please be good neighbors.
Our home is a private residence for use by our registered guests.
You are welcome to have a small number of guests for short visits only.
No additional overnight guests.
NO PARTIES. No loud music or anything else that disturbs the neighbors or other vacationers at any time of the day.
No Bachelor or Bachelorette parties.
No smoking ANYWHERE on the premises.
NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES
