Country fun!!!
Come getaway from it all at our delightfully peaceful single wide home that sleeps six, and is sparkling clean! The A/C keeps you cool in the Texas heat, and there are lots of creature comforts to make your stay a happy one! We've added a fire pit and our huge gazebo on the pond has been renovated and now has a fridge, shower and also barbecue grill lakeside!
"The Porch" is a part of the beautiful 500 +acres Lone Mesquite Ranch, which was formerly an 1870s cotton plantation.
Our property has been a well known landmark for many years and is a working ranch. We also have good stables and a fully equipped horse facility. For travelers with one or two horses, we have a separate stall barn adjacent to The Porch, where your horses will be safe and secure.
Our beautiful two story 1200 sq.ft. gazebo also has a paddle boat and is on a "catch and release" pond, heavily stocked with Bass, Perch, Tilapia and Catfish, for those that like to fish or swim or barbecue out under the stars! A 3 yr old just caught a 6 1/2 lb Bass!
We are half a mile off I-20, 38 miles from downtown Dallas, and only 22 miles from Canton, Texas, host of the largest flea market in the United States. Come join us for awesome views on a fabulous ranch for a most memorable stay!
We also have delightful woodland trails where you can see many creatures and walk along the cleared manicured trails.
We are proud to say almost all of our guests have given us 5 Star reviews!
The ONLY Unfortunate review was as a result of 5 ladies forgetting to a key to the property and deciding it was our fault they couldn't get back in.

Summary: Located on 450 acres with a working farm, unit is clean, well furnished , has good AC/heating system. Owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Loved the front porch that was covered so we could hang out during a night time Texas thunderstorm, and a separate area with an outdoor fire pit for when weather is nice. Plenty of room to take a walk out in the pasture with a pond that has a paddleboat. This is a great place to escape to the country life and relax and rejuvenate. Highly recommend.
